Knowledge is the Imaam of actions
by
Ibn Qayyim (Rahimahullah)
Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (RA) said:
“The salaf did not generalize the word “fiqh” except on knowledge which is associated with action.” He further added: “al-’ilm imaamul-'amaal (Knowledge is the Imaam of actions) and its leader, and al-’amal is adherent to knowledge and is led by it. Every action, which is not led by knowledge, is of no benefit for the one who initiates it. On the contrary, it inflicts harm upon him, just as some of the salaf said “Whoever worships Allaah without knowledge, the mischief he causes is more than the goodness he may bring about.” He also stressed that: “Deeds vary with respect to their acceptance or rejection respectively depending upon their adherence or opposition to knowledge. Action, which is in accordance with knowledge, is approved of, and what opposes knowledge is repudiated. Knowledge, therefore, is the measure and the test. Allaah the Most High said:
[Blessed be Allaah] Who has created death that He may test you as to which of you is best in deeds, and He is al-’Azeez [Who subdues everything by His Might; the Mighty in His Revenge; the Unapproachable, none will prevail against Him; none is like unto Him], al-Ghafoor [The One Who is Oft-Forgiving]. [Qur’aan, Soorat Al-Mulk (67:2)].
Al-Fudail bin ‘Iyaad (RA) explained that, “The best of deeds are those which are done with sincerity [seeking Allaah’s Face] and are upright.” They said, “What is considered sincere and right of the deeds?” He replied, “Deeds which are sincere but not correct are not accepted, and if they are correct but not sincere then they are also not accepted, until they are sincere and right. In order to be sincere, they must be done for Allaah alone, and for them to be correct, they must comply with the [authentic] sunnah. Indeed Allaah, Most High, says:
Whoever hopes for the meeting of his Rabb let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Rabb [Allaah]. [Qur’aan, Soorat Al-Kahf (18:110)].
One will not be able to act in a way comprising both the qualities of sincerity and rightness, except by way of knowledge. For if he does not know what the Messenger (sallahu alyhi wa sallam) brought, he will not be able to follow him on the straight way. On the other hand, if he does not know of the One Who deserves to worshipped alone [Allaah], he will be unable to seek Him solely.”

How to Seek Allaah’s protection for Children
From Ibn Abbas who said the Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- used to seek refuge for al-Hassan and al-Hussein, he would say:
‘I seek refuge for you two with Allaah’s perfect words from every Shaytaan (devil) and poisonous creature and every evil eye.’
He -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- said that this is how Ibrahim used to seek refuge for Ishaaq and Ismaeel.’

An Explanation:
Abul Ulaa AbdurRahmaan al-Mubarakfooree -Rahimullaah- said:
‘Allaah’s words’: ‘It has been said that they are the Qur’aan and it has also been said they are Allaah’s names.’
‘Perfect’: ‘Al-Jazari said: ‘Indeed Allaah’s speech has been described as being Perfect, because it is not permissible for any of His speech to have deficiency or fault like there is in the speech of people.’
‘It has been said that the meaning of ‘Perfect’ here is that it benefits the one seeking refuge with these ‘Perfect words’, and protect him from illnesses and this would be sufficient for him.’
‘Poisonous creature’: ‘Every type of creature that kills with poison. And it is possible that it could mean any crawling animal even if it does not kill, like insects.’
‘Evil eye’: ‘From every evil type of affliction from the eye.’

Shaykh al-Albaani was asked over the phone:
Phone rings.
Shaykh: yes!
Caller: Aslaamu alaykum.
Shaykh: Wa alaykum as-Salaam.
Caller: O Shaykh regarding ‘I seek refuge for you two with Allaah’s perfect words from every Shaytaan (devil) and poisonous creature and every evil eye.’ Is this said three consecutive times or just once?
Shaykh: No, it is mentioned once, however if it appears to the one saying this Dua’ that he needs to repeat it without specifying three times, then there is no problem with that.
Caller: and should he place his hand on the head of the one sought refuge for?
Shaykh: Yes, yes!
Caller: Even in congregation, if it is a group of children together, how can he place his hand upon all of them?
Shaykh: He should place his two hands on two of the children, then repeat this on the rest of the children.
Caller: Right hand and left hand, with both hands?
Shaykh: Yes, yes.
Caller: Regarding the hadeeth that the Messenger -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam-
would not sleep until he recited Soorah Mulk, al – Isra, Zumar, and Sajdah, is this when he lies down on his bed at night, or before he lies down?
Shaykh: What is important is that he recites before he falls asleep, whether it is whilst he is sitting or lying then it is up to him’

The Names Ali bin Abee Taalib (رضي الله عنه) and His Children Liked (Refutation of Raafidah/Shee’a)
A lot of our Muslim brothers and sisters are not aware that the Raafida (Shee’a) hate the Sahabah (companions) of our beloved Prophet They even declare them kuffar except for a few of them. Please take a look at the image below and see that Ali (رضي الله عنه) and his Children named their sons and daughters on the names of the Sahabah for the next eight (8) generations. You will see the Abu Bakr, Umer, Uthman, Aaisha consistently for the next eight generations. It is a strong refutation for those who curse and hate the Sahabah My only question is that why would a person name his children on the names of those he hates the most. It is a clear evidence that the religion of Raafidah is based on lies, slander, and deception. May Allah protect us from their fitnah, ameen.

Both His hands are right-handed – Shaikh Al-Albaanee
And both His hands are right-handed Fataawaa of Shaikh Al-Albaanee Translated and Arranged by: Isma'eel Alarcon [ Al-Asaalah , Issue #4] Question: How can we make a combination between the report "with His left Hand" , mentioned in the hadeeth of Ibn 'Umar, radyAllaahu 'anhumaa, in Saheeh Muslim and his, sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, saying: "And both His hands are right-handed?" Answer: There is no contradiction between the two hadeeths that is apparent on the outset. Thus his, sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, saying: "And both His hands are right-handed" is an affirmation of Allaah's statement: "There is nothing whatsoever like Him (in comparison). And He is the All-Hearer, the All- Seer." [Surah Ash-Shooraa: 11] So this description, which the Messenger of Allaah, sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, has informed us of is an affirmation of Allaah's removal from any anthropomorphic qualities. Thus, the hand of Allaah is not like the hand of a human being – left-handed and right-handed. On the contrary, both His hands are right-handed, may He be far removed from any defects. As for the other point, then it is that the report: "with His left hand" is shaadh , [12] as I have clarified in the checking of " Al-Mustalahaat-ul-Arba'ah Al-Waaridah feel-Qur'aan " (no. 1) of Al-Mawdoodee. What further supports this is that Abu Dawood also reported this hadeeth and (in it, he, sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam ) said, "with His other hand" in the place of "with His left hand." This report is in conformity with his, sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, other saying: "And both His hands are right- handed." And Allaah knows best. Footnotes: [12 ] Translator's Note: A shaadh hadeeth is a hadeeth reported by a reliable narrator, which contradicts (the report of) a narrator that is more trustworthy than him. |
Story of Three persons blocked in a Cave – Story from Hadith
Imams Bukhari and Muslim reported that the Messenger sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam said:
"Three persons of a people before you, were on a journey when they were overtaken by a storm and therefore they took shelter in a cave. A rock slipped down from the mountain and blocked the exit from cave.
One of them said: "The only way for deliverance left is to beseech Allah in the name of some virtuous deed." Thereupon one of them supplicated, "O Lord, my parents were very old, I used to offer them their nightly drink of milk before my children and the other members of the family. One day I went astray far away in search of green trees and could return only after my parent had gone to sleep. When I had milked the animals and brought their nightly drink to them, They were fast asleep, but I did not like to disturb them, nor would give any part of the milk to my children and other members of the family till after my parents had their drink. Thus, with the vessel in hand, I awaited their awakening till the flush of dawn, While the children cried out of hunger at my feet. When they woke up, they had their drink. O Lord, if I did this thing seeking only your pleasure, then do relieve us of the distress wrought upon us by this rock." Thereupon, The rock moved a little but that not enough to let them pass out.
Then the second man supplicated: "O Lord, I had a cousin whom I loved her more passionately than any loves a woman. I tried to seduce her but she would have none of me, till in a season of great hardship due to famine, she approached me (for help) and I gave her one hundred and twenty Dinars on condition that she would have sexual intercourse with me. She agreed, and when we got together and I was just going to have intercourse with her, she pleaded: ‘Fear Allah, and do not break the seal unlawfully’; whereupon I moved away from her, despite the fact that I desired her most passionately; and I let her keep the money I had given her. O Lord, if I did this thing seeking only your pleasure, then do move the distress in which we find ourselves." Again the rock moved a little but not enough to let them pass out.
Then the third supplicated: "O Lord, I hired some laborers and paid them their dues, but one of them left leaving behind what was due to him. I invested it in business and the business prospered greatly." After a time the laborer came Back and said: ‘O servant of Allah, hand over to me my wages.’ I said to him: ‘All that you see is yours – camels, cattle, goats and slaves.’ He said: ‘Don’t play joke with me, O servant of Allah.’ I assured him: ‘I am mot joking.’ So he took all of it sparing nothing. O Lord, If I did this seeking only for your pleasure, do relieve us of our distress."
The rock then moved away, and all the three came out of the cave safe and sound.

How to Seek Nearness (Tawassul) to Allaah – ibn Baazby AbdurRahman.org |
“What is the General Precept for Seeking Nearness to Allah, The Lofty and Majestic”
By The Noble Shaykh Abdul “Aziz ibn Baaz
By The Noble Shaykh Abdul “Aziz ibn Baaz
Question:
What is the general precept (guideline) for seeking nearness to Allah, The Lofty and Majestic?
Answer:
Seeking nearness (tawassul) to Allah through utilization of His Names and Qualities is something that has been legislated for the Muslim, and it is from the means of obtaining a response to supplication; According to the statement of Allah, The Mighty and Majestic:
وَلِلّهِ الأَسْمَاء الْحُسْنَى فَادْعُوهُ بِهَا
“And to Allah belongs the best name, so call on Him by way of them.”
(Surah al-a’raaf 7:180)
(Surah al-a’raaf 7:180)
As well as what has been affirmed by him صلى الله عليه و سلّم in many narrations from seeking nearness to Allah by way of His Names and Attributes. It has also been legislated seeking nearness to Allah, Glorified is He: by believing in Him, loving Him, and by the rest of the righteous actions.
From that, is having love for the prophets of Allah, His messengers, as well as the believers from amongst His slaves. Also from that is seeking nearness to Allah with righteousness toward the parents, abstaining from committing illegal sexual intercourse, and fulfilling the trust; Due to the authentic narration that has come in the story of the companions of the cave, those who the boulder had closed in upon them and they were unable to move it. There were three of them, and so they supplicated to Allah, Glorified is He, and they sought nearness to Him by way of their righteous actions, so the boulder was removed for them.
Their report has been affirmed in the two sahihs (Bukhari & Muslim). The first of them sought nearness through his righteousness to his parents, the second by his abstention from illegal sexual intercourse after having the ability to do so, and the third by way of fulfilling the trusts for the people who entrusted him. And Allah is the One who grants success!

Should I take my Shahada and Ghusul Over? – By Shaykh Uthaymeen Should I take my Shahada and Ghusul Over? – By Shaykh Uthaymeen
Should I take my Shahada Over?
By Shaykh Uthaymeen
By Shaykh Uthaymeen
Question:
If the person repents and returns to his Lord after having left off the prayer, is it upon him to pronounce the Shahada (testimony of faith) again, and to take a ghusul (ritual shower for purification)?
Shaykh Uthaymeen:
If the person who did not pray repents to Allah the Exalted and begins to pray again, then he will be a Muslim due to his prayer; because the person who becomes a disbeliever due to leaving something, he becomes a Muslim when he begins to perform this action. And in this very prayer he will say, ‘I bear witness that nothing has the right to be worshipped except for Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger.
As for taking the ghusul, then this is based upon the view that the ghusul is an obligation when the disbeliever enters into Islam. Thus those who say that when the disbeliever enters into Islam the ghusul is an obligation upon him they hold the view that the person who begins to pray again must make ghusul. As for those who say that it is not obligatory for the disbeliever who enters into Islam to make ghusul, they say it is not obligatory for this person to make ghusul. And there is no doubt that it is better for the person to make ghusul as to exit from the difference of opinion between the scholars and to free himself from blame.

He Lost The Woman, and He Lost His Religion
Ibn al-Qayyim (Rahimahullah) narrated:
It is reported that in Egypt, there was a man who would maintain the mosques, making the call to prayer, etc. He was, by all outward means, an obedient person and devout worshipper.
One day, as he usually would, he ascended the minaret to make the call to prayer. At the base of the minaret, there was a Christian woman standing. He saw her, and was seduced by her looks. So, he descended the minaret, went to her, and entered her home. She said to him: “Who are you, and what do you want?”
He replied: “I want you.”
She said: “Why?”
He said: “You have enslaved my eyes, and you have captured my heart.”
She said: “I will never answer your desire in a doubtful or suspicious manner.”
He said: “Ok, so, I will marry you, then.”
She said: “You are a Muslim, and I am a Christian. My father will never allow me to marry you.”
He said: “So, I will become a Christian.”
She said: “If you wish to do so, go ahead.“
So, the man became a Christian in order to marry this woman, and lived with the woman’s family in her house. Later on that day, however, he was on the roof of the house. He fell from the roof and died without even having enjoyed his new bride. So, he lost the woman, and he lost his religion.”

Shaykh al-Albânî: Have you heard about ’Abdullâh ’Azzâm?
A person: Yes!
Shaykh al-Albânî: ‘Abdullâh ‘Azzâm was here with al-Ikhwân al-Muslimûn. Al-Ikhwân al-Muslimûn boycotted me for about seven-eight years ago. They boycotted my lectures and my call and ‘Abdullâh ‘Azzâm was the only one from al-Ikhwân al-Muslimûn who always came to my lectures with a small notebook and a very small pen. Once the decision of boycotting my lectures came, he never appeared again. I once happened to meet him in the Suhayb-mosque outside the prayer. I greeted him and he shamefully greeted back because he didn’t want to break the agreement. I then said to him:
“Is it this what Islâm commands you?”
He then said:
“The summer clouds will soon brighten up.”
The days went by. One day he came home to me but I wasn’t home. He found out that I was at home at (my son in law) Nidhâm, knocked at the door and came in. He thereafter said:
“I went to your home but didn’t find you there. I’m eager to benefit from your knowledge.”
I then said to him:
“That is what I know, but what is the intention with this boycott?”
He then said:
“You have made Takfîr upon Sayyid Qutb!” – and this is the point.
I asked him:
“How?”
He answered:
“You say that he speaks in accordance with Wahdat-ul-Wujûd in the chapter ‘al-Hadîd’ and ‘al-Ikhlâs’.”
I then said:
“Yes, he has uttered some of the utterances of Sûfiyyah. The only thing one could understand from it is that he speaks in accordance with Wahdat-ul-Wujûd. However, according to our principles we do not do Takfîr upon a person who falls into Kufr before he has received the truth. How can you proclaim this boycott when I am in your midst? If you do not come, then you could have sent someone in order to find out if it is true that I am making Takfîr upon Sayyid Qutb or not. Sayyid Qutb says this and that here and there.”
He had an outbreak and said:
“The man believes in Allâh, his messenger and Tawhîd!”
“The man believes in Allâh, his messenger and Tawhîd!”
We then said to him:
“O dear brother, we do not refute the truth he said, rather the incorrect.”
Despite this session, he spread two-three articles in the Kuwaiti journal “al-Mujtama’” with big headlines:
“Shaykh al-Albânî makes Takfîr upon Sayyid Qutb.”
This is a long story. The one who says that al-Albânî makes Takfîr is as the one who says that al-Albânî praises Sayyid Qutb at a particular occasion. These people are Ahl-ul-Ahwâ! The only way to cope with them is to pray to Allâh for them.
“Can you then force people to believe?” (The Qur’ân 10:99, interpretation of its meanings)
Principles Concerning Declaring Others to be Disbelievers, Innovators or Open Sinners [Faasiqs] | 3 | Is It Allowed to Say Anything Against Someone Who Takes the Opinion of One Shaikh and You Another? Principles Concerning Declaring Others to be Disbelievers, Innovators or Open Sinners [Faasiqs] | 3 | Is It Allowed to Say Anything Against Someone Who Takes the Opinion of One Shaikh and You Another?
Questioner: There are some issues, O Shaikh, which some of the people of knowledge with us have differed in, some of them calling those things an innovation and others saying it is permissible, and some of the youth blindly follow and due to the trust they have in the scholar who says that it is permissible, he takes his [i.e., that scholar’s] opinion in the issue, so is it permissible, O Shaikh, to judge this person, like slandering his manhaj or declaring him to be an innovator due to him doing that, and an example of that is acting. Shaikh Muhammad ibn Uthaimeen laid down some conditions for it and holds it to be permissible and Shaikh ‘Abdullaah ibn Jibreen, some Shaikhs like Shaikh Bakr Abu Zaid and Shaikh Rabee ibn Haadi say that it is an innovation, what is your opinion, O Shaikh? Al-Albaani: Subhaanllaah! Allaahu Akbar! Your question started as something and ended as something else in my opinion. So are you asking one question or more than one? Questioner: One question, O Shaikh. Al-Albaani: Then define your question, because I felt that there was more than one. Define your question. Questioner: The question is about the ruling concerning an individual who goes by the saying of a Shaikh who declares something to be allowable, [declares it] to be permissible to do that thing, and an example of that is acting. Al-Albaani: Yes, yes. Questioner: Is it allowed for me, being that I hold acting to be an innovation and this other person holds the view of, for example, one of the major scholars who says it is permissible, is it permissible for me to slander this person’s manhaj by saying that, ‘This is the manhaj of the Ikhwaan al-Muslimoon in this issue,’ or that such a person can be declared to be an innovator because he took the opinion [of another Shaikh] in this issue, bearing in mind that the person is a blind-follower, O Shaikh? Al-Albaani: Is it permissible for a scholar to say anything against someone who opposes his opinion? Questioner: No. Al-Albaani: Then this situation is even less permissible. Is the answer clear? Questioner: Yes. Al-Albaani: Okay. Questioner: May Allaah reward you with good. Al-Albaani: And you. |
“Keep me and my sons away from worshiping idols” – Quranic Supplication
In the Name of Allaah, the Extremely Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy...
Allaah the Almighty says:
»إِنَّ اللَّـهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّـهِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَالًا بَعِيدًا«
«Verily Allaah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners in worship with Him, but He forgives whom He wills, sins other than that.»
[Sooratun-Nisaa' (4):116]
«Verily Allaah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners in worship with Him, but He forgives whom He wills, sins other than that.»
[Sooratun-Nisaa' (4):116]
Ibraaheem invoked Him saying:
»وَاجْنُبْنِي وَبَنِيَّ أَن نَّعْبُدَ الْأَصْنَامَ«
«Keep me and my sons away from worshiping idols.»
[Soorah Ibraaheem (14):35]
«Keep me and my sons away from worshiping idols.»
[Soorah Ibraaheem (14):35]
When Ibraaheem was supplicating to Allaah, one of the things he asked for was that he and his children be granted distance from the act of worshiping idols. He asked Allaah to protect him and his children from worshiping idols while he was the one who smashed the idols with the firmness upon Tawheed that he had.
In Soorah Maryam, Ibraaheem called his father to Tawheed saying:
«O my father! Verily, there has come to me of the knowledge that which came not unto you. So follow me, I will guide you to the Straight Path. O my father! Worship not Shaytaan (Satan). Verily, Shaytaan has been a rebel against the Most Gracious (Allaah). O my father! Verily, I fear lest a torment from the Most Gracious (Allaah) should overtake you, so that you become a companion of Shaytaan (in the Hell-Fire).»
[Soorah Maryam (19):43-45]
«O my father! Verily, there has come to me of the knowledge that which came not unto you. So follow me, I will guide you to the Straight Path. O my father! Worship not Shaytaan (Satan). Verily, Shaytaan has been a rebel against the Most Gracious (Allaah). O my father! Verily, I fear lest a torment from the Most Gracious (Allaah) should overtake you, so that you become a companion of Shaytaan (in the Hell-Fire).»
[Soorah Maryam (19):43-45]
Allaah (`Azza wa Jall) has praised him with special praises: being Haneef (pure in his monotheism) and being free from ever having made shirk. Along with that, here he is saying:
»وَاجْنُبْنِي وَبَنِيَّ أَن نَّعْبُدَ الْأَصْنَامَ«
«Keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols.»
[Soorah Ibraaheem (14):35]
«Keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols.»
[Soorah Ibraaheem (14):35]
This clearly shows you that he was concerned and afraid of worshiping idols. He was afraid of committing shirk with Allaah (subhaanahu wa ta`aala) along with the strength of his tawheed, the strength of his conviction, his sincerity, his certainty and his knowledge of Allaah (`Azza wa Jall). This did not lead him to feel safe from being misguided, being tricked by the Shaytaan or being led astray. Rather, he knew that only Allaah (ta`aala) could protect him, and only Allaah could keep him from shirk, and every other thing would lead to his destruction and demise.
Lesson Drawn from the Verse:
– ٣الخوفُ مِنَ الشركِ، فإنَّ إبراهيمَ عليه السلامُ – وهو إمامُ الحنفاءِ والذي كسَّرَ الأَ صنامَ بيدِهِ – خَافَهُ على نفسِهِ فكيفَ بِمَنْ دونِهِ.
3 - We should (truly) be afraid of the reality of shirk since Ibraaheem (`alayhis-salaam) was the Imaam of the monotheists, and he demolished the idols with his hands, yet still feared falling into shirk. If the Imaam of the monotheists, Ibraheem (`alayhis-salaam), feared shirk for his own being, should we not, as average every-day monotheists, be moreso afraid for ours?

Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaahu ta`aala) commented: WHO can be safe from trials after that?1
Ibn Katheer said: Based on this, EVERY caller to the religion should make du`aa for the safety of his own-self, the safety of his religion, and for the religion of his father or his parents, and that of his children in lineage and offspring.2
“The True Rahmah” – Ibn Qayyim (rahimahullaah)
From the speech of the noble Imaam Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah
“The True Rahmah”
“From that which is befitting to know is that “Rahmah” is a characteristic which requires the bringing about of that which is beneficial and good to the servant. This is the case even if the soul dislikes it and it is difficult upon it. This is the true “Rahmah”. The most merciful of the people to you is the one who is hard/difficult upon you with regards to bringing about that which is to your benefit and repelling that which is harmful from you.
Therefore from the mercy of the father for his child is that he compels his child to observe discipline with regards to the attainment of knowledge and the practice of it. He (the father) is hard upon his child with regards to that by way of disciplining the child and other than that. Also he is hard upon him by way of preventing him from the fulfillment of his (evil) desires which will return to him as that which will harm him. Whenever the father is negligent in that affair with regards to his child, that is a result of a lack of his “Rahmah” for him. Even if he (the father) thinks that he is having “Rahmah” upon him, giving him comfort and giving him relief, this is “Rahmah” that is accompanied with ignorance. Similar to the “Rahmah” of the mother.
Based upon this, from the completeness of the “Rahmah” of the Most Merciful of those who show mercy, He (Allaah) sent down upon the servant different types of trials and test. Indeed He (Allaah) is most knowledgeable of that which is of his benefit. Therefore His (Allaah) testing of him (the servant) and preventing him from many of his goals and desires is from His “Rahmah” for him. However the servant due to his ignorance and oppression he falsely accuses His Lord (of that which is not befitting) for His testing of him. He (the servant) doesn’t know His (Allaah’s) goodness to him by way of His testing him with test. There has come in the narration:
“When the one who is being tested is supplicated for:-Oh Allaah have mercy upon him- Allaah the Most High says -How can I have mercy upon from something which I am having mercy upon him with-”
In another narration:
“Indeed when Allaah the Most High loves His servant, He protects him from the worldly life, its goodness and its desirable affairs just as He protects one of you from his sickness”
This is from the completeness of His “Rahmah” for him (the servant) and not from His stinginess upon Him. How could this be when He is The Most Generous The Glorified. He is the one who possess all generosity. The generosity of the creation in comparison to His generosity is less than an atom in the mountains of the world and its sand.
From His “Rahmah” with His servants:
His testing of them with the commandments and the prohibitions as a means of a “Rahmah” and protection. He (Allaah) has no need for them in that which He has commanded them with, for He is The Self-Sufficient, The All-Praiseworthy. Likewise this is not stinginess from Him upon them in that which He prohibited them from, for He is The Most Generous and The Most Noble.
From His “Rahmah”:
He disturbs and spoils the worldly life upon them so that they do not seek to inhabit it (forever) and become at ease with it. Also (this is done) so that they desire the established bounty in its abode and proximity. Therefore He drives them to that with the whips of trials and tribulations. He prevents them in order to give them. He test them in order to pardon them. He causes them to die in order to give them life.
From His “Rahmah” for them:
He warns them against Himself in order that they do not become deceived by it and as a result of that, they deal with Him (Allaah) in a manner which is not not befitting for them to deal with Him. It is just as He stated:
“Allaah warns you against Himself and Allaah is merciful to His servants” (Soorah Aali ‘Imraan: 30)
More than one from amongst the Salaf stated:
“From His mercy with the servants is that He warned them against Himself in order that they do not become deceived by it”.
